Nicola Hill, DDS - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Hill has specialized in pediatric dentistry for over 25 years. She spent her childhood years in England and immigrated to the U.S. in 1980 where she attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. She received her DDS degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School and completed a two-year pediatric residency at the University of Illinois. Dr. Hill spent one year in a pediatric fellowship focusing on medically compromised children after residency.
In 1991, she founded ABC Dentistry and has been loving working with children ever since. She is a member of the ADA, CDS, ISDS, AAPD and is a past president of ISPD. She also is a Diplomate on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Hill is on staff at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. She is a clinical associate professor in the post-graduate pediatric dentistry department at UIC.
Outside The Office
Dr. Hill has five children and looks forward to their various sporting events and milestones. She also enjoys reading, traveling and running. Her gentle manner and genuine concern add a special quality to her 25 years of pediatric experience.
Gay Brodersen, DDS - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Brodersen has specialized in pediatric dentistry for over 25 years. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology at Indiana University. She came back to Chicago and earned her DDS degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental School. Following dental school, she stayed at the University of Illinois for a two year residency in pediatric dentistry. Her studies in pediatric dentistry continued with a year fellowship program.
Dr. Brodersen began her career in private practice when she joined ABC Dentistry back in 1996. She is a member of the ADA, CDS, ISDS, and the AAPD. She is on staff at St Alexius in Hoffman Estates and Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village. Dr. Brodersen regularly attends continuing education courses to stay current on emerging techniques and research in the field of pediatric dentistry.
Outside The Office
Dr. Brodersen had three children that she loves to spend time with. She also enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling and spending time with her two dogs, Delilah and Snickers. Dr. Brodersen strives to make each and every dental visit a comfortable and positive experience.
Samantha Mueller, DMD - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Samantha Mueller was born in Chicago and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. She completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Her love of working with children began in high school while working as an assistant at ABC Dentistry to her mother, Dr. Nicola Hill. In 2017, Dr. Sam completed dental school, receiving her DMD from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. After dental school, she began her two-year pediatric residency also at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her Masters in Oral Sciences during her residency and performed research in innovative clinical pediatric dentistry techniques. She also is a Diplomate on the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Sam is on staff at Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
Outside The Office
Dr. Samantha Mueller enjoys time spent outdoors, an active lifestyle, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She loves treating children and helping make each child’s experience at the dentist enjoyable and fun.
John Cordell, DDS - General Dentist
Dr. John Cordell is a general dentist who has been in private practice for over 30 years. He was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He received his BA degree in Biology from the University of Illinois in 1985. Upon completion of his four year undergraduate education in Champaign, IL, Dr. Cordell entered the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, in Chicago. In 1989, Dr. Cordell completed dental school, receiving his DDS degree and earning a place in the one year General Practice Residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
Dr. Cordell has remained active in his profession during his years of private practice. He is a member of the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Cordell attends many continuing education courses annually.
Outside The Office
As the father of five children, Dr. Cordell enjoys spending time with them and coaching them in their youth sporting activities. He is also a passionate golfer.
Kiley Hainds, DDS - General Dentist
Dr. Hainds grew up in Jacksonville, IL. She received her Bachelors degree in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University. She then moved to Farmington, CT and completed her DMD degree at the University of Connecticut. After completion of dental school, she moved back to the Midwest for a 1-year AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency program at Southern Illinois University, which she completed in June 2009.
Dr. Hainds joined ABC Dentistry as an associate in 2009. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, and she attends continuing education courses to stay informed of the new advances in dentistry. She thoroughly enjoys meeting new people and is excited to be practicing at ABC Dentistry in Schaumburg.
Outside The Office
Dr. Hainds is married to Joseph Bopp, a research chemist, and they have two children. She loves spending time with her family, playing with her dog, and reading.
Katie Edgcomb, DDS - Orthodontist
Dr. Edgcomb’s goal is to help people of all ages achieve their most beautiful and healthy smiles, all while in a comfortable, compassionate, and enjoyable atmosphere.
Dr. Edgcomb grew up in Rockford, Illinois, and participated in the sport of competitive figure skating for twelve years. She became inspired to pursue orthodontics after her own positive experience as a teenager.
Dr. Edgcomb attended Marquette University where she earned a B.S. in Dental Hygiene (2004) and DDS. in Dentistry (2008). She completed her post-doctoral orthodontic residency, and earned an MS in oral biology, at the University of Illinois at Chicago (2011), a program known for producing leaders in the field of orthodontics.
Dr. Edgcomb routinely uses braces, aligners, and growth modification techniques. She is experienced in one and two-phase orthodontic treatment, and interdisciplinary adult and orthognathic surgery cases. Dr. Edgcomb regularly attends continuing education classes to keep informed of the constantly changing treatment techniques in orthodontics. She is a member of the ADA, CDS, AAO, ISO, and MSO.
Outside The Office
In her spare time, Dr. Edgcomb is an avid cross-fitter and enjoys cooking, and spending time with family & friends. She is also a proud dog-mom to her two Australian Labradoodles, Murphy & Rosie.
Alexa Pulli, DDS - Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Alexa Pulli was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and minor in Medical Humanities at Boston College.
After completing her undergraduate education, she worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the department of Pediatric Psychopharmacology at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she discovered her passion for pediatrics and public health.
Dr. Alexa completed dental school in 2022, receiving her DDS from University at Buffalo. After dental school, she began her two-year pediatric dentistry residency at University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to her pediatric dental training, she received her Masters in Oral Sciences.
In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants in the city of Chicago, traveling to new cities, spending time with family and friends, and cheering for the Buffalo Bills. She loves seeing children and strives to make each dental visit positive, fun, and comfortable for both the child and parents.
