Dr. Edgcomb really enjoys the first visit with patients of all ages. She wants to discuss your concerns about the teeth, or any other issues you may be having with your teeth or bite. In order to gather the full amount of information to fabricate a diagnosis and treatment plan, we will be taking a panoramic x-ray.
We will then take a series of photographs that will allow us to study the teeth and bite together.
Dr. Edgcomb will then do a comprehensive examination, taking measurements and formulating a problem list. This will allow us to discuss and formulate a treatment plan, if needed for you. She will take time to answer any questions you may have. If your child is not yet ready for braces, you will be placed on an observation every 6 or 12 months. This allows Dr. Edgcomb to monitor the growth of the child and eruption of the teeth to determine readiness and timing of treatment.
Your final stop of the first visit will be with one of our treatment coordinators, who will review your insurance benefits and cost of treatment.
We always look forward to welcoming new patients into our family of braces!
